Nathan Whitaker, author of Head Coach Tony Dungy's memoir Quiet Strength, lives in Florida with his wife, Amy, and two daughters, Hannah and Ellie Kate. A two-sport athlete in baseball and football at Duke University, he also graduated from Harvard Law School. He has practiced law, been employed in ministry, and worked in football administration for the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Many times Tony Dungy was approached over the last few years about writing a book, and his answer was always no. In 2004, Nathan and Tony had lunch and discussed the possibility again, focusing on how a book that would be more about life than football could help others. No again. The Indianapolis Colts then won Super Bowl XLI in February 2007. Still no. After a myriad of notes, letters and encouragement, Tony, along with Nathan, took on the venture of authoring Quiet Strength - The Principles, Practices & Priorities of a Winning Life. It's a book about the priorities, choices, approaches and habits that lead to being a winner, to experiencing true success. It's about our journey in this world together. It's about things learned, mistakes made and heartaches that require trust in God. Tony states that "I hope when it's all said and done, you'll see that it's really all about Him."
